Requirements
- 200g butter (room temperature) cut into cubes
- 100g fine caster sugar
- 300g plain flour (sieved)
Preparation
- Heat the oven to 160C.
- Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
- Beat butter and sugar until smooth using a hand mixer.
- Mix in the flour very carefully.
- Squeeze the dough into a ball with your hands.
- Roll the dough up to 5mm thick and shape it with a biscuit cutter or cut into your fingers.
- Place the dough on a baking tray and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle each biscuit with a little sugar and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
