Requirements
- 2.3 kg onions, in rings
- 125 g butter
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt
Preparation
Place the onion rings together with the butter, sugar, balsamic vinegar and a pinch of salt in the slow-cooker. Do not put the lid on the slow-cooker! Put the Crock-Pot slow-cooker on HIGH and set the timer for 1 to 3 hours. Stir everything together and put the lid on the slow-cooker. Set the slow-cooker on position LOW for 8 to 10 hours. The onions will slowly caramelise while the liquid gradually evaporates. They will get a nice purple/brown colour. Enjoy!
